Admission Procedure:

* Admission is open to both boys and girls.

* Candidates shall be selected for admission on merit on the basis of a competitive written test followed by interview.

* Eligibility Conditions: The candidate should have passed Class X or equivalent from a recognized Board, i.e. 10-year study course, having minimum 45% marks in Mathematics and Science (40% in the case of SC/ST) candidates.

* Candidate should not be less than 15 years and not more than 19 years of age.

* Admission can also be availed through government quota for diploma courses as per government norms.

* Reservation of seats will be as per the norms of Government

* All eligible candidates will have to appear for a Common Entrance Test of 3 hour duration comprising of English, Mathematics, Science, Aptitude and General Knowledge of Class X standard.

* The entrance test will be held at the centre mentioned in the Admit Card(Gangtok & Namchi). Strict timings for conduction of the test will be observed.

* Candidates must bring their own stationery for the test. Only Question and Answer sheets will be provided by the Institute.

* Merit lists for selected and wait-listed candidates for all categories will be displayed on the Notice Board in the Office of the Directorate of Technical Education at Gangtok, ATTC, Bardang and CCCT, Chisopani. Individual intimation will not be sent and the candidates are required to contact these offices to find out if they have been selected for admission. The list will also be available on the Institute website.

* It may be noted that if it comes to the notice of the Institute that a candidate does not fulfill any of the requisite prescribed eligibility conditions, his/her candidature may be rejected irrespective of their name appearing in the list of successful/wait-listed candidates or even after he/she has been admitted.
