About us :

CCCT will be completing nine years of dedicated service in April 2008. During this period of nine years, the Institutes progress has been above par.
Ever since it’s inception CCCT has focused on developing the trainees. A large number of our alumni have distinguished themselves as outstanding professionals. While the Institute is proud of its achievements, its aspirations are still higher. The vision of the institute is to emerge as a top ranking polytechnic in the country and aims to achieve global recognition. The college looks forward to contribute to evolution of technology in the global market.

Programmes in the Institute are tailor made to serve the specific requirements of the industries. It is gratifying to learn that most of the trainees perform exceedingly well in courses they take. Highly encouraging feedbacks are received from companies that recruit the trainees. In recent years CCCT has taken several steps towards its pursuit for excellence. Some of the steps taken during the last couple of years are: Recruitment of new faculty, offering new and contemporary elective courses, review of course package, development of new case materials and modernization of the infrastructure.
The course package offered by the college is comprehensive and contemporary.
CCCT is competing in the premium segment of recruitment market and has done well offering 100% placement to the students till date despite constant fluctuations in the market condition.
The college emphasizes not only development of analytical skills but focuses on in-depth and rigorous application of the concepts.
The faculty and trainees are continually engaged in relentless endeavor to improve upon past performances and to enhance its position in the league of top ranking technical colleges in the country.
 

Library: The library is an invaluable resource with close to 10,000 volumes with around 4700 titles, periodicals ranging from 13 Journals and Magazines, 5 newspapers, and 1000 Book CD’s and Magazine CD’s.
The library also provides indexing searching services from a number of database software’s like LIBSYS..

Industrial Training:
The Industrial Training is the flagship programme of the Institute. CCCTians have been gaining exposure to various companies through their one month industrial training programme in the final semester. Past locations for these programmes have been Mumbai, Bangalore, Jamshedpur, Kolkata etc. The trainees are exposed to industrial environment and are entrusted with a lot of responsibilities in their one month stint. The first years are taken on an industrial visit for a day in the local factories and other technical industries and the second year trainees are propelled for a three day visit to industries.
These trainings aim to teach professional skills, essential aspects of professional ethics and social responsibility issues in practical and professional life.

 

 
 
 
 

Why CCCT?

Infrastructure: CCCT is located in Chisopani which is approximately 8km from Jorethang, South Sikkim. The college is spread over a 27 acre campus and has complete residential facilities for trainees and staff. The powerful and serene ambience inspires the trainees to strive for excellence.
The college provides residential facilities for trainees coming from all parts of the country. There are two halls of residence provided, one each for the boys and the girls. The boys hostel have 50 rooms housing a capacity of 150 male trainees and the girls hostel provides 36 rooms to accommodate around 115 girls. 
The entire campus is connected by a state-of–the-art network with almost 180 nodes. Almost every trainee and faculty have a networked computer at their disposal. High speed blade servers along with SAN(Storage Area Network) device running on a variety of platforms to suit all kinds of requirements support the entire network and can store around two terabytes of data. The users also get a roaming profile which helps them to access their data’s from any nodes. This connectivity helps the trainees considerably in their projects. 

Curriculum: The curriculum is continually updated to ensure that it is synchronized with the current and foreseeable future needs of the industry. The teaching methods adopted for the diploma programme are such as to promote inter-disciplinary inquiry and practical appreciation of problems. Normal classes are supplemented with guest lectures, seminars, Industrial Visits and group exercises. Outstanding equipments in the lab and a plethora of databases support the learning experience.
First Year Courses provide basic conceptual knowledge and inculcates proper attitudinal skills
Second Year Courses go beyond honing the participant skills to building perspective.
Projects form a major share of the second year and the third year courses and the emphasis gradually shifts from learning concepts to implementing them.
The Faculty in the college is easily accessible. Excellent Faculty-trainee ratio provides opportunity for the trainees to interact with the teachers and their colleagues. 

Sports Facilities:
Right from its commencement the College has taken efforts to provide sports facilities to the trainees. Currently the college has an indoor Badminton court, a Volleyball court and other indoor facilities for Table Tennis, Carom, and Chess etc.
Both the hostels provide a fitness center with state-of-the-art Multi Gym equipments. Further provisions have also been made to build a new football and track and field ground.

Events and Co-curricular activities:
There is a myriad set of events for trainees to immerse themselves into. The trainees work against the clock to host such events, ensuring the touch of excellence.
Amidst the academic rigors of the Institute, CCCT ensures that the trainees have the opportunity to develop their creative talents, their power of expression and incubating technology based innovative ideas by organizing various functions and contests.
Through these activities, the institute strives to remain a cutting edge for technical skills, instilling teamwork and providing a global focus.
